Wisdom Wednesday

Many times we feel obligated to remain friends with people we have grown up with, even though time has created distance between you and them. Or, you guys have simply grown apart, and can only connect on the level of friendship that was once there, but no longer exists. God places people in our lives for a reason and season. Only a select few will remain in your life for the long haul. You may find yourself struggling to hold on to a relationship that no longer serves a purpose in your life. It is time to let go of that relationship. Usually, with relationships like this, there are no ill intentions or ill will, you simply have grown apart from one another. It's OK to release yourself from a friendship you have outgrown. There is no fault in releasing yourself from a relationship that no longer serves you or the other person in the relationship.
