Who Am I When Everything is Not Lining Up With My Dreams?
The hardest part about being an artist is that I used to always feel like my dreams were way too big! By nature, we artists are eccentric people. It's who we are and we can not help it. The biggest trial I have to continually overcome is to be who I am, regardless of what is surrounding me. There are things that have been placed in my heart, but even if it doesn't look like it's going to happen, I have to force myself to believe that it will happen. So who am I when things aren't living up with my dreams? I'm myself and ALL that it entails. Being true to myself and my dreams are things that I pride myself on. In order to be great, I have to command my atmosphere to align with my dreams and not expect my dreams to always have an easy road. My favorite quote is, "Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground." Words to live by. I'm just a nut holding my ground.
