Jesus showed the ultimate act of love on the cross. His act of love has provided us an opportunity to live free of the guilt and shame of our past, present and future. Imagine if He loved the way we do? Imagine if He made us pay for what we have done, and currently are doing that displeases Him? I can't even imagine.Yet we are unforgiving, selfish, condemning and judgemental towards others. How so? We need His forgiveness. We must remember what true love is. Not just in a romantic way, but love toward people period. The church isn't a building, it's the people. We show the world around us what love looks like. Don't forfeit what Jesus looks like in you. Love people the way God continues to love You.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 states:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
